2.3.2 PuTTY Configuration

• PuTTY has its own authentication agent Pageant
• Using PuTTY
  1. Create a session to the machine using ssh
  2. Under the ssh configuration, check the ssh 2 only box
  3. Under the auth tab, select the appropriate PuTTY private key
  4. Use PuTTYGen to import open-ssh keys and export in putty format
  5. Save this configuration file
