PuTTY has its own key generation software, PuTTYgen
Generate a v2 RSA key 0f 1024 bits
Note that the public key should be copied from the text box and there should be at most a single word comment otherwise the upload will fail with XML RPC call to PLC API failed
Note that key pairs generated by open-ssh need to be imported into putty format:
Start PuTTYgen
Import the private key, confirming pass phrase et al, editing comment appropriately
