3.1.8 Yum

• An RPM Package management application
• /etc/yum.conf specifies repositories from which packages will be downloaded
• By default /etc/yum.conf will point to PlanetLab's complete FC2 repositories
• Don't access these repositories simultaneously from all your nodes - overload boot server
• apt-get can also be used
