Interests

I am interested in the fractal pattern of autopoietic systems seen in nature. Life appears to have gone through a series of major transitions, many of which can be viewed as the formation of one autopoietic system out of components that are themself autopoietic. Why is this pattern repeated?

cells made out of auto-catalytic networks
multi-cellular organisms made out of autopoietic cells
languaging as performed by multi-cellular organisms

My work at the moment is focused around developing a computational model of a two-tiered autopoietic fractal. An autopoietic system whose substrate is built from autopoietic entities.
