Artificial Life Course Autumn 2004

Lectures

From Week 2 onwards, 2 lectures per week:
Mon 13:00 rm ENGG1-AS2
Tue 11:00 rm ENGG1-AS2

Coursework
There was a Genetic Algorithm exercise as coursework, set in Week 3 for submission by Tue 26th Oct. There is also a GA+CTRNN exercise set in Week 7, for submission by the end of Week 8. You have also been asked to submit your proposal for your final Alife project by the end of Week 7. You will get feedback on these.

Assessment
The assessment for the course is based on a programming project (of your choice, subject to agreement that it is suitable) plus a 3,500 word essay, to be handed in by 12:00 on Monday 17th Jan 2005. For your guidance, some project ideas are suggested in a link below, and the official guidelines for what is assessed in marking these projects are also given here.
