This is the index page for the Advanced Technical Communication course,
which has been
developed from a course designed by me and Hilary Buxton and previously
taught by Gerald Gazdar, Andy Holyer, and Geoffery Sampson. It is a
portal to most of the information which you will need on this course.
Please note that for this year the course
and all the exercises will be based around the organization and
delivery of a conference. What you will have to do for the
assessed tasks will be more or less what you you might do in submitting
and delivering a paper at a scientific conference.
More material will be added to the course website as the term
progresses,
for instance abstracts of student presentations, information about
marks. It would be a good idea always to use the Reload button when
you look at pages relating to this course, otherwise you might be
seeing an out-of-date version of the particular page. I apologize for
any broken links which will be rectified as soon as time permits.
