• The kinds of policies that can be written are really determined by what the transition conditions contain.

• E.g. policies based on time, user identity, past service usage patterns, reputation, etc.

• Condition expressions can be triggered by:

  • The event of a method being called
  • Value of fields in the object being controlled
  • Values in the external environment, like time etc.
