3.8 Starting & Stopping Services

• Use an init script to start, stop and restart your program
• Program must run as a daemon
• Then use SSH to control service
• You can use Slice Deploy
• Some nodes will be under heavy load, so starting and stopping will almost certainly be asynchronous across a slice
