Cian is an Equator funded PhD student.

Cian is a PhD student sponsored through the Equator project. Cian's research is looking at how video tools can be made more accessible for people with disabilities. So far his research has explored how video editing tools can be redesigned to be accessible for individuals with complex disabilities and the problems faced users with mild cognitive impairments face when using video.

His other interests include accessibility, phenomenology and Participatory Design. He also runs the Disability Skills Exchange.

Cian worked for several years as a computer programmer (Java, databases and web technology) in financial services before studying at Sussex.
