Katy Howland was on Gordon Astley’s radio show on BBC Southern Counties radio yesterday (Thursday 20th November). The show focused on Second Life, and Katy was able to put in a good word for ways in which we might move learning in virtual environments beyond “chalk and talk” to things which are much more innovative, interesting and motivating.
Liz Thackray at the National Workshop in Learning in Immersive Worlds

On October 23rd, Liz Thackray will be presenting at the National Workshop in Learning in Immersive Worlds.
Liz will be talking about the work that we did in Second Life in the Interactive Learning Environments course this year, and pointing to the work we’ll be doing next year.
The workshop events will be filmed, and streamed into Second Life during the day - there’s no SLURL on the page, but you can try Coventry University’s SLURL.

We are in the process of changing over from our old site. We hope to get the new site ready with all of our content as soon as possible.
