| The light sensors connect to the Analogue to Digital (AD) converter and will produce a voltage that is proportional to the amount of light falling on the sensor. The robot controllers analogue to digital converter will take this voltage and convert it into a real number value. The light sensors use components called LDR's or Light Dependant Resistors as the sensing element. These are sensitive to light over a reasonably large part of the light spectrum and have a wide field of view so they will pick up light from wide angles. |
