The options available for Term 2 (full time) or Term 5 (part time) currently involve choosing 2 options from the following list. This list is accurate as of 2006/07, but may change in future years:

Towards the end of the Spring Term, students select a topic for their summer research project, and are assigned a supervisor. The research project should include a substantial practical (programming) element. At the end of August, students submit a 12000-word masters thesis, and may be asked to give a short oral presentation on their work. It is intended that there will be industrial involvement in some projects. Part time students start work on their projects in the summer of the first year, and complete it in the second year.
