Entry requirements and Funding
The course is suited to able science/engineering graduates, or numerate and computer-literate arts or humanities graduates. It is strongly preferable that applicants should have some experience of programming, but exceptions can be made in special circumstances. Suitable backgrounds include (but are not limited to): biology, computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, and psychology. Applicants with industrial experience will also be favourably considered.
The UK Government's Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) currently provide a substantial number of studentships. Applicants who are eligible for these studentships will automatically be considered for them.
No applications for October entry will be accepted after September 1st of that year. However, candidates are advised to apply as early as possible in order to be considered for any funding which becomes available. Furthermore, the number of places on the MSc is limited.
