EASy MSc

Assessment

Each course on the degree is assessed by either a short term-paper (a 3500 word essay), a 3.5-hour examination paper, a programming project with a 3500-word report, or coursework and a 3.5-hour examination paper. Each of the eight courses taken is equally weighted, and the MSc thesis (maximum of 12000 words) will be equivalent to four courses. To be awarded the degree, students must (a) gain a pass mark of 40% minimum in the dissertation; and (b) a similar 40% minimum in least 6 of the 8 courses; and also (c) obtain an overall average mark of 50% or above.
