Research Interests

I conducted my research on Evolutionary Robotics Simulation models in the study of human behaviour and cognition (summarised in my D.Phil. dissertation) in the CCNR at the university of Sussex, supervised by Ezequiel Di Paolo.

At the moment I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Multisensory Perception and Action group, headed by Marc Ernst, at the Max Planck Insitute for Biological Cybernetics in Tuebingen, Germany. There I work on Perceptual Learning, Multisensory Integration and Sensorimotor Integration, using the methods of epxerimental psychophysics. At the moment, I look at rubber hand illusion type adaptation of body image and proprioception. In this group, we are interested in Bayesian regularities in crossmodal integration and perceptual learning, using the consequent formal and modelling techniques.

My research in collaboration with the CCNR links my previous work to my present work, i.e., my present work is evaluated in the context of the enactive approach to cognition and it also extends some lines of my previous Evolutionary Robotics work at Sussex and also at the Ikegami Laboratory at the University of Tokyo.
