Research Interests
I'm interested in exploring the boundaries between evolutionary biology, neuroscience, and robotics and how they can inform one another. Recently I've been looking at evolutionary models of social behaviour, adaptation to radical sensorimotor disruptions, and internal stability of adaptive robot controllers. Other interests include: methodology of evolutionary simulations as scientific tools, dynamical systems approaches to intentional behaviour, historical dynamics in complex systems, and the issue of identity and self-production in living organisms.
