Research Interests

I'm currently combining neural networks, evolutionary algorithms, and passive dynamics to evolve the bodies and controls systems of bipedal robots. These machines are capable of walking on different surfaces and are highly resistant to noise. Unlike some of the more popular techniques used for bipedal walking such as ZMP these machines are energy efficient by walking like inverted pendulums.
