As part of the Equator project we are intersted in exploring new forms of interaction with technology in the home beyojne the prototypical 'smart home' scenario. As part of this we have conducted a series of studies of experiences with existing technologies, conducted co-design sessions with householders around the sorts of technologies that they would like to live with and deployed prototype applications in the home to elicit ideas and responses.
We studied local households to find out how consumer technologies come to be in people's homes and what we can learn from current experiences.
