Andrea Wall, Career Development & Employment Centre (CDEC)
Students and graduates need employment. Businesses need qualified employees. Andrea will explain how CDEC can publicise your vacancies to our students and new graduates without cost to you.

11.20 Postgraduate courses, research activities and facilities
Prof John Carroll will explain our range of taught postgraduate qualifications, our research activities and some of the advanced facilities which can be made available for contract work.
11.50 Intellectual Property considerations in software
Julia Fallon, Sussex IP
SussexIP is a University subsidiary which exists to ensure that Intellectual Property arising from work in the university is adequately protected but made available for commercialisation.
12.05 Taking your projects forward with STEP & KTP schemes
Angela Rabone
Under the STEP scheme, final year undergraduates compete for sponsored 8 week assignments undertaking specific projects for businesses. KTP schemes support major project placements for graduates working in companies for 1-3 years with additional academic support.
12.20 American Express
Liz Ditchburn, Technologies Director for American Express, will explain the American Express Technologies Masters Programme which is run from a base at the University. This is a two year programme in which graduates work in IT roles within American Express whilst studying a MSc.
12.40 BeLA and the PG Certificate
Jason Woodford of Academy Internet Ltd will talk about the Brighton e-Learning Alliance and the development of the Post Graduate Certificate in e-Learning which has just been introduced at the University.
13.00 Buffet lunch and a chance to network
